Danae Spathara is an alumna of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2022 and ACE Animation Special 2026. She has been active in the industry since 2002, with a career spanning film, commercials, digital media, and cultural events. Since 2019 she works as a producer with Heretic.

She holds an MA in Film & Television Production from the University of Bristol, a BA in Theatre Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Diploma in Digital Marketing from ALBA Business School, and a Diploma in Journalism.

Her recent producing credits include: Kyuka Before Summer’s End (2024), debut feature by Kostis Charamountanis (Opening film at ACID Cannes 2024, Best Debut Director Award, Youth Award & Audience Award at International Thessaloniki Film Festival 2024, and Best First-time Director and Best Actress at IRIS the Greek Academy awards 2025), Ready (2023), stop-motion animation short by Eirini Vianelli (Competition at Sarajevo IFF), Novak (2025), debut feature by Harry Lagoussis (Competition at Endibrough IFF) and Dust (2026), by Anke Blondé (Competition at Berlinale 2026).
