FILMIKI is one of Greece’s most established production companies, founded in 1987 by two renowned Greek filmmakers. With nearly four decades of experience, the company has produced more than 2,500 TV commercials, 30 feature and short films, as well as numerous television series and music videos. Combining experienced leadership with emerging creative talent, FILMIKI has built a reputation for producing both commercially successful and auteur-driven projects.
The company has achieved strong international recognition with films and series such as The Waiter, the first Greek film acquired by Netflix, and Silent Road, distributed internationally by BETA Film. Recent productions include Handling the Undead, which premiered at Sundance, Bastards, winner of the Silver Alexander Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and the documentary Journey to Ithaca, shortlisted for the Global Sustainability BAFTA Film Award. Other recent projects include Maldives, winner of the Onassis Film Award at TIFF64, They Come Out of Margo, which premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and the Greek–German documentary Super Paradise, winner of the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival.
FILMIKI is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the European Federation for Commercial Film Producers (CFP-E), the Greek Producers Association (SAPOE), the European Producers Club (EPC), the EAVE Producers Network, and ACE Producers. In 2022, the company was awarded Film Production Company of the Year at the ERMIS Awards, a testament to its outstanding contributions to the industry.
