SAPOE is delighted to announce that the New Producer Award, established in collaboration with the Drama Short Film Festival, was presented for the first time in September 2026.
Since we believe that acknowledging the crucial role of the producer is essential to the growth and vitality of our profession, this award was created to provide recognition and support to emerging producers taking their first significant professional steps in cinema. The award is accompanied by a 1,000-euro cash prize, kindly provided by our sponsor, CrediaBank.
The award has been presented to the creative producing trio of Kostas Mavrias, Ioannis Koutouzis and Maria Archonti for their films “Horizon” and “Shift”, two works of distinctly different style and content with substantial production challenges, tackled with remarkable precision and execution.
A special mention also goes to producer Roxani Krimizi, whose contribution to two exceptionally demanding productions (“The Great Organ” and “Sisters”) stood out. We hope that alongside her interests in other areas of the arts, she will continue to pursue her work in film production.
